► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio SKX-1000 men’s digital ski sports watch, featuring Module 969, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1980s. This colorful sports model was designed during one of Casio’s most innovative eras, showcasing bold styling, durable construction, and a unique ski-inspired theme that makes it especially desirable among collectors. The watch is in full working condition and remains all-original, including its yellow resin case, stainless steel back, and decorated ski strap. The strap shows clear signs of age with fading and cracking to the graphics, but it remains intact. The watch itself is in fantastic overall physical condition, showing only minor wear consistent with age. Key Details: • Brand: Casio • Model: SKX-1000 • Module: 969 • Movement: Digital Quartz • Era: 1980s • Origin: Japan Domestic Market (JDM) • Strap: Original decorated ski strap (aged, but intact) • Condition: Fantastic overall; signs of aging on strap; see photos A highly collectible and seldom-seen Casio sports model, the SKX-1000 is an excellent addition for any serious Casio or vintage watch collector. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
